This sub-series of "Winds of Change" is composed entirely of my first 8x10 LOCATION SPECIFIC photograms. The demo prints I made for participants of my brief workshop were TECHNICALLY the very first of these unique (proper) landscape photographs, as quite a few of the materials provided to the class (by Donna) are Escondido or at least San Diego area specific materials. The remaining 2 cameraless photographs were the result of my collecting and shipping my first San Diego/La Jolla/Windansea Beach specific materials.

Windansea Beach (proper title to come), La Jolla, CA

Unique silver gelatin print (mixed process photogram); Made with materials collected while I was in town and shipped home to me for my very first location-specific photograms. Beach sand, (very stinky) seaweed, and just a touch of Pacific Ocean. [Printed on Forte Polygrade in November 2023; This paper has been off the market for more than a decade].

[This paper was super curly and I can't use plexiglass to keep the print flat, as it would interfere with my processes, so the edges aren't always exposed perfectly; This print has an area like that on the bottom right, but it's still one of my my favorite new images.]

Forte Magic

Ice-rubbing with a bright light source that exposed the paper so deeply, it exposed those beautiful, rich, (Forte) browns...
