Breaking All of the Rules - Intro to Healing Beauty for All 2-D Mediums

Sundays, from 2-3:30pm EST

May 9-June 16, 2026

This class will guide artists and enthusiasts working in other two-dimensional methods - such as painting, printmaking, mixed-media, drawing, and/or digital art making processes, as they learn to tweak the way they use materials, textures, movement, color choices (or lack thereoff), and more - in ways that will help them heal, as well as result in stronger, more expressive artwork.

Participants will be introduced to both literal and figurative methods of incorporating aspects of the difficult feelings (pain, stress, depression, anxiety, or anything else) that have been weighing them down, directly into their artwork; they will choose to either focus on a small new series or to focus on one or two individual pieces, which they will continue to rework during the class.

Regardless of their mediums, all will finish the class with stronger, more emotive artwork, and will hopefully finish the class feeling lighter and more joyful than they did when it began.
